About Me
My name is Karim, I am a photographer and filmmaker with a decade of experience.
2014 is the year I used a professional camera for the first time. I volunteered as a graphic designer for student NGOs while I was in college, as part of the media team I once had to document the progress of a project which had a significant impact on the lives of low-income households. The images were presented on a major stage. I distinctly recall stopping at how powerful and impactful photography could be. When people saw their photographs, I saw excitement in their eyes and grins and I developed a passion for visual storytelling. When those images made a real difference in people's lives, it fueled my passion even more.I started self-learning photography right away, and in a few months, I was fortunate to start obtaining some work. Since then I have been exploring different genres and experimenting with different techniques and approaches. I shot events, weddings, food, product, lifestyle. It didn’t matter what the subject was as long as there was a story to be told.
In 2018, I graduated with a BSc in Civil Engineering. I then made a decision to pursue photography full time. I had the opportunity to greatly expand my skill set while working with renowned photographers and filmmakers. Over the years, I worked with a lot of reputable clients.
Today I aim to utilize all my experience to tell unique, especially untold stories of people and brands.
